| In September the UKASFP Committee agreed the priorities for the year.
- Continue work to raise the profile of Solution Focus Practice in the UK through conferences; accreditation; supporting the dissemination of research and articles and co-operating with reviews of talking therapies.
- Consolidate the roll out of the Accreditation Process for Members and set up an Appeal Process. This year we will still prioritise the Accreditation of Practitioners since there is still interest from members in this level of accreditation. Then within resources available for assessment, move in a structured way to Trainer and Supervisor Accreditation Levels.
- Commission and support a Conference and AGM in Edinburgh to be held 14th and 15th June 2012; Steve Smith to take the lead on this, liaising with the committee in relation to marketing and budget.
- Invite submissions and plan for the Conference and AGM for 2013, so the next conference intentions can be announced at the 2012 event.
- Improve communication between the Committee and the Members, including:
- commission, test and oversee the delivery of a new look, more functional website, which will give regional group convenors, trainers and members generally more information and control;
- improve the marketing of the Association and the benefits of membership, and distribute the new leaflets to all UKASFP trainers, to help increase the numbers of members;
- continue with improved and early marketing of the conference.
- Continue with the review of policies, procedures (prioritising the code of ethics) and set up a UKASFP calendar to enable better tracking key milestones of the Association in order to better respond to the needs of members. Set up UKASFP as a company limited by guarantee.
- Prepare a report to Members for the next AGM on impact of the membership fee increase, what members now get for their fee and the rationale for the recommended fee level for 2012/13.
- Review the Business Plan for last year and to enable members to see what we achieved and what is outstanding.
